WINTER DRY SKIN

Updated: Jan 10, 2023

Am I the only one that’s been having an extra difficult time with their skin lately? It’s been unusually cold out and my skin is taking a serious hit.

Even though I believe first and for most that your skin is a reflection of what you’re eating and especially drinking, sometimes we need a little extra hydration from additional sources. There’s nothing like drinking loads of water to keep hydrated and allowing your skin to glow naturally, however; with this cold winter we’ve had in Southern California, I need next level hydration on my face since my creams and moisturizers havent been enough.

Moonlit Skincare is a company that focuses only on 1 or 2 products, a night facial oil called Midnight Shift and a mask which I have never tried. This is my type of company though. They’ve perfected their formula to create a quality product and are currently focusing on just that one or two. The oil is made of jojoba and sunflower oils with ginseng and papaya to help fuel skin cell turnover. my favorite is that it smells of lavender which is perfect for a good nights rest.

Midnight Shift, $34

I cleanse my face at night with Malin + Goetz Facial Cleansing Oil (because you know, I need all the oils). It removes makeup and cleanses my skin without stripping it dry and then I apply about a quarter size of this Mindnight Shift oil on the palm of my hand (even though directions suggest a dime size amount) and I spread evenly throughout my forehead, cheeks, chin, nose, everywhere!

My skin feels as normal and hydrated as can be when I wake up! For anyone with naturally oily skin, I’m sure the dime size amount would suffice but anyone experiencing extra dry skin, do yourself a favor and use a quarter size amount like me.

Now, let me sleep! haha.

xx,
